POLICE are investigating the theft of a substantial quantity of agricultural machinery from an estate in Compton Bassett, near Calne.
A horse rider from Calne was taken to hospital this morning after being thrown from her horse on Stockley Road.
Plans to build 180 homes and a new medical centre in Calne are expected to be formally submitted this summer.
