Wiltshire Council’s fleet of gritters is being readied for action as the county prepares for colder weather.
Wiltshire Police are reminding drivers to make sure their vision is up to standard as part of their ongoing campaign, “Is Your Eyesight Roadworthy?”, aimed at reducing collisions caused by poor eyesight.
A case of highly pathogenic avian influenza (H5N1) has been confirmed in a dead wild buzzard found in Winterbourne Stoke, Wiltshire. The bird was submitted to the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) as part of its ongoing wild bird surveillance scheme.
