

Animal health officers in Wiltshire have issued the county’s first Animal Penalty Notices after an investigation found a cow had been transported while unfit to travel.
A five-month closure previously scheduled for a stretch of the A342 near Derry Hill will no longer go ahead next year, Wessex Water has confirmed.

A five-month closure of the A342 between Derry Hill and Studley is set to begin in January 2026 while Wessex Water carries out mains replacement works.
