Wiltshire Council has issued an urgent notice that a section of the C15 at Compton Bassett will be closed from 12th January 2026 to allow essential drainage investigation and improvement works to take place.
A five-month closure previously scheduled for a stretch of the A342 near Derry Hill will no longer go ahead next year, Wessex Water has confirmed.
UPDATE - As of 24th November this closure will no longer be going ahead - please find full details in follow up article under this heading.
A five-month closure of the A342 between Derry Hill and Studley is set to begin in January 2026 while Wessex Water carries out mains replacement works.
