North Wiltshire MP Brian Mathew has written to Wiltshire Council urging it to reconsider plans to close the Lower Compton and Purton household recycling centres.
A new councillor has been co-opted to Calne Town Council to represent the Chilvester & Abberd ward, following the resignation of Cllr Orrey Pike in November.
Residents in the Calne Central ward went to the polls yesterday, Thursday, 22nd January, to elect a new representative to Calne Town Council following the resignation of Robert MacNaughton.
