The first of hundreds of upgraded bus shelters planned across Wiltshire have been installed in Calne as part of a £2 million improvement programme.
Following Friday's last-minute cancellation of the Calneval of Colour and Summer Festival, Calne Town Council has confirmed that councillors will meet this Friday to review what happened and identify lessons to help prevent a similar situation in the future.
A Calne resident whose garden was damaged in Sunday's fire has thanked firefighters, neighbours and strangers who came to the rescue as the blaze spread between neighbouring properties.
