Warm welcome as High Sheriff visits Calne Men’s Shed

Calne Men’s Shed welcomed the High Sheriff of Wiltshire, Martin Nye, and his wife, Deputy Lieutenant, Victoria Nye, yesterday for a tour of the group’s workshop on Anchor Road - and an opportunity to learn more about the projects, camaraderie and community support that have made the Shed one of the town’s most valued organisations.

Revised plans lodged for land east of Spitfire Road

Amended planning proposals have been submitted for the site between the existing attenuation pond and Abberd Brook, east of Spitfire Road in Calne. The outline application (ref. PL/2025/05943) now includes a revised layout and additional details covering landscaping, access and infrastructure.
