Wiltshire Council has confirmed that rescheduled coring works on The Strand in Calne will take place tonight (Wednesday 15 October) and tomorrow night (Thursday 16 October) between 7pm and 6am.
Temporary four-way traffic lights will be in place throughout the overnight works to ensure safety while engineers complete investigations into the carriageway and footway.
The work forms part of the council’s wider plans to upgrade traffic lights and pedestrian crossings, relocate the bus stop outside the Town Hall, and improve paving and seating along The Strand.
The coring will help engineers design new pavement surfaces and assess materials ahead of the main improvement scheme.
Further details of the wider project were reported by Calne News last month.
