First-time buyers in Wiltshire and south-west Oxfordshire are being invited to a special Valentine’s Day event hosted by accredited five-star housebuilders Persimmon Homes and Charles Church.
On 14th February, visitors can explore developments across the Wessex region and see what their potential new home could look like, with sites open from 10am to 5pm. Participating locations include Chippenham, Hilperton, Malmesbury, and Warminster in Wiltshire, as well as Didcot and Wantage in Oxfordshire.

Persimmon Homes will offer guidance and support specifically for first-time buyers, while Charles Church will provide advice on its part-exchange programme.
The developer’s Gen H New Build Boost mortgage allows buyers to get on the property ladder with just a 5% deposit, topped with an additional 15% interest-free equity loan. This scheme fills the gap left by the ending of the government-backed Help to Buy programme, enabling access to an 80% loan-to-value mortgage.
Persimmon also offers a Deposit Boost, contributing an extra 5% towards a buyer’s deposit to make securing a competitive mortgage rate easier.
House and apartment prices start from £215,995 and £189,995 respectively.
Pauline Fletcher, sales director for Persimmon Homes Wessex, said: "Persimmon is incredibly proud of our record of catering to first-time buyers, with around half of our sales going towards those getting on the housing ladder every year.
"Buying a house for the first time can feel daunting, so we wanted to host these events to provide strong, professional financial advice to help potential customers.
"We also recognise how much harder it can be for younger people to buy a house in recent years, which is why Persimmon is stepping in with our own support schemes to make homeownership achievable.
I encourage anyone interested to contact our sales team and find out just how close they already are to buying their high-quality Persimmon home."
The Valentine’s Day events give first-time buyers the opportunity to explore homes, speak to experts, and learn about schemes designed to make the dream of owning a home more achievable.
