Representatives from Wiltshire Police traded patrol cars for horsepower this weekend, competing in the prestigious Royal Windsor Horse Show 2025 for the first time in the force's history.

The team, comprised of Laura Hughes from the Local Policing Tasking Team, Financial Investigator Hollie Clark, and Rachael Fairbain from Complex Fraud, showcased their equestrian skills in the Services Team Jumping competition, securing a respectable 12th place finish out of 19 competing teams.

"I am so proud of the team and the way the horses coped in the electric atmosphere," said Hollie Clark. "It makes you feel incredibly humble taking part in the parade of teams from across the services, including the Army, RAF and Navy, in front of the crowds."

Hollie highlighted individual successes, noting Corgary Shadow's impressive performance, achieving a clear and fast round that landed them 3rd place out of 54 starters. While Pembrook Hollywood experienced an unlucky four faults, and Dunmaynor Star encountered challenges on the course, the team remained positive.

"Regardless of the results, we had a fantastic day and felt proud that we could represent Wiltshire Police," she added.

The Wiltshire Police's participation underscores the importance of collaboration between forces and engaging in community events.

"Taking part in these sorts of events is an important part of the police collaborating with other forces," Hollie concluded. The force looks forward to building on this initial success and continuing to represent Wiltshire Police at future equestrian events.
