TWO men are in custody following a collaboration between multiple police units.
Police say they received information about two vehicles of interest at about 10pm last night - a Volkswagen Golf and a Mercedes Sprinter, entering Wiltshire from the north and east.
Following collaboration between the Intelligence Live Cell, Armed Response, RPU and the Dogs section, the Mercedes was located and followed to Worton by an unmarked police vehicle, before it was stopped in London Road, Devizes.
Meanwhile the Volkswagen Golf was sighted and stopped in Southbroom Road, Devizes. The vehicles were suspected of planning to meet.
During a search of the Golf, police recovered a number of tools including crowbars, disk-cutters and a signal bug detector device, plus a list of locations and items sought after in the burglaries.
The drivers of the vehicles, a 30-year-old man and a 28-year-old man, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglaries and going equipped for burglary.
They remain in custody for questioning.
