Drivers in Calne are being warned to expect disruption this autumn as part of Brewers Lane will be closed for nearly three weeks.
From 6 October to 24 October 2025, Wales & West Utilities will be carrying out essential gas pipe replacement works on the stretch of Brewers Lane from its junction with Anchor Road for around 127 metres.
A diversion route will be in place via Shelburne Road, London Road, New Road, The Strand, Church Street, Mill Street and Anchor Road. Access for residents and businesses will be maintained where possible, but delays are likely.
Wiltshire Council has confirmed the closure is necessary to complete the utility works safely and efficiently.
