If you aren't sat in traffic, are you even in Calne? We have a run down of the scheduled road works most likely to cause delays - due to be taking place next week.
Delays possible in Newcroft Close from Monday 16th Feb to 18th Feb with traffic control - stop/go - boards in operation to allow for Vactor North Drainage works to clear gully as required. Teams will also be in Church Street and Anchor Road on these dates.
There will be an urgent road closure on place 16th to 18th Feb C15 (Part), Compton Bassett; from its junction with Briar Leaze for approximately 30m in a North Westerly direction. Alternative route: via C15 (unaffected length) - A4 - Curzon Street - The Square - Wood Street - Oxford Road - A3102 - C15 (unaffected length) and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible.
Ongoing works at New Road and Station Road will continue to cause delays alongside the closures on Beversbrook Road A3102 and Fishers Brook.
There will be a road closure on the A342 Derry Hill South To Wans House on 22nd February with a diversion back through the town via Curzon Street, New Street and Silver Street.
