Motorists are being advised of an upcoming road closure on the A3102 near Calne, as Wiltshire Council carries out urgent safety improvements.

The closure will come into effect on Monday, 8th September, affecting a 1.5km stretch of the A3102 from its junction with Back Lane in a north-easterly direction. The works are required to allow the installation of solar studs and other associated safety measures.

The road will be closed to all traffic overnight between 8pm and 6am for up to four nights. Wiltshire Council has confirmed that the notice is valid for a maximum of five days.

A signed diversion route will be in place via the unaffected sections of the A3102, the A342 and the A4. Access will be maintained for residents and local businesses where possible, but delays are expected.

For further information, residents can contact Wiltshire Council on 0300 456 0105.
