Temporary road closures on Saturday 29th June 2024 between the hours of 11.00 and 19.00 for the Summer Carnival.
That the following roads and streets in the town of Calne are to be closed (save in any case of emergency) to all vehicular traffic at the approximate times set out below:
Between the hours of 12.00 and 17.30:
a) A4 New Road (Part); from its junction with Station Road to its junction with A4 Curzon
Street.
Between the hours of 11.00 and 19:00:
b) Church Street (Part); from its junction with The Strand to the entrance of the Free Church.
c) Cox Hill (Part); from its junction with A4 New Road to its junction with Patford Street.
Between the hours of 16:00 and 18:00:
d) Market Hill (Part); from its junction with A4 Curzon Street to its junction with Castle
Street.
A rolling roadblock will run from Bremhill View into the town centre along Lickhill Road, North Street and Wood Street.
The 55 Swindon – Chippenham bus will not serve the Town Hall during the road closure but will pick up on Oxford Road and Curzon Street.
42 and 33 buses will not stop outside the Town Hall after 1pm – please check with the operator for updates.
