THREE arrests have been made and £40,000 in cash seized along with significant quantities of Class A drugs following a targeted operation by the Swindon Local Policing Tasking Team (LPTT) on 14th January.
Officers were alerted to a vehicle suspected of being involved in illicit activities while it was parked near the insured party's home on Ryan Avenue, Chippenham.
Upon locating the vehicle, police acted swiftly to investigate further.
During the operation, two men were detained at the address while officers executed a search under Section 32 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE). As the search unfolded, a van arrived at the property, leading to the detention of its driver as well.
The searches yielded alarming results: approximately one kilogram of cocaine was recovered, along with around £40,000 in cash and an astonishing 8 kilograms of methamphetamine.
The three men arrested, aged 54, 45, and 19, are suspected of being involved in the supply of Class A drugs.
Additionally, two of the suspects face charges related to money laundering. All three individuals have been taken into custody for further questioning as the investigation continues.
Police have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity as part of their ongoing fight against drug-related crime in the area.
