Wiltshire Police are appealing for information following a serious road traffic collision on the A429 Malmesbury Road in Lower Stanton St Quinton.
The incident happened at around 8pm last night (Tuesday, 10 September) when a Yamaha motorcycle struck a stationary van before losing control and sliding into the front of an oncoming Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service Land Rover.
The 17-year-old rider sustained serious injuries. Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Great Western Air Ambulance Charity were tasked to the scene alongside a local ambulance crew. The teenager was treated at the roadside for more than an hour by a critical care doctor and paramedics before being taken by land ambulance to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.
