Wiltshire Police are investigating two burglaries in Chippenham and Corsham, where high-value jewellery was stolen.

The incidents occurred on 30th April, with one burglary happening between 12 noon and 6:10 pm on Box Hill, Corsham, and another between 3:15 pm and 4:30 pm in Nettleton, where £40,000 worth of jewellery and watches were stolen.

The police are considering whether the burglaries are linked to a similar incident in Swindon on 28th April, where £15,000 worth of jewellery was stolen.

DI Steve Edwards is leading the investigation and urges anyone with information to come forward.

To help prevent future burglaries, residents are advised to secure their homes by closing and locking all doors and windows, even when going out for a few minutes. It's also recommended to double-lock doors, secure private garden entrances, and keep valuables out of sight.

When going away, residents can leave lights and a radio on a timer to make their property appear occupied and ask a trusted neighbor to keep an eye on their property.

If you have any information, you can contact Wiltshire Police on 101, quoting the relevant reference numbers. You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
