Alexandru Popescu, 30, of Bradford Leigh, near Holt, has been found guilty of two counts of sexual assault following a five-day trial at Swindon Crown Court on 4th June.
The charges stem from two separate incidents that occurred at E11evn nightclub in Chippenham on 2nd April 2022.
The court heard that Popescu followed a woman around the nightclub, repeatedly grabbing her and pulling her against him without her consent while she was dancing.
He then assaulted a second woman by grabbing her breast and holding it before she was able to break free and her boyfriend intervened.
Security subsequently removed Popescu from the premises.
Detective Constable Niall Maidment praised the victims for their courage in coming forward and seeing the case through the lengthy court process: "I would like to thank the victims in this case for their bravery and courage for reporting the offences and for seeing this case through the courts," DC Maidment stated.
"The case was adjourned on several occasions due to court delays, resulting in a three-year delay." He added,
"I’m pleased that the jury found Popescu guilty and will now rightly hold him to account for his predatory behaviour. I’d also like to reassure victims of sexual assault that they will always be listened to – no one has the right to violate another person, and we are committed to ensuring survivors are supported and heard."
Popescu has been released on bail and is scheduled to be sentenced at Swindon Crown Court on 15thJuly
