Calne-based tech company Black Nova Designs has celebrated its 10th anniversary by raising more than £700 for local mental health charity Best Mates.

The “10th Birthday Bash” took place on Saturday 18th October at the National Self Build and Renovation Centre (NSBRC) in Swindon. The event surpassed the team’s £500 fundraising target, with all proceeds going to Best Mates - a community charity that offers confidential, practical support to people experiencing mental health crises.

Jeff Tucker, co-founder of Best Mates, praised the continued support from Black Nova Designs founders Kyle and Danielle Holmes. “Kyle and Danielle have been amazing since I met them 18 months ago,” he said.

“They’ve supported Best Mates at our events, raised funds through their racing simulator at trade shows, and then dedicated their 10th birthday party to us. They really have become our ‘best mates’ in that time.”

Kyle Holmes said the celebration was both emotional and inspiring. “Standing in a room filled with friends, clients, and supporters who’ve been part of our journey over the past decade was overwhelming,” he said. “Seeing so many people come together to celebrate and raise money for Best Mates was deeply emotional.”

The evening featured a raffle, dinner, and a motivational talk by Jamie McAnsh, a speaker and athlete living with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), who dedicates his work to helping others overcome challenges in life and business.

Entertainment was provided by Everyone’s Kind of Music, who donated a DJ set and photobooth for the night. Guests enjoyed a lively atmosphere, with music, a quirky photobooth, and a strong sense of community marking the milestone celebration.

Kyle added: “I’m profoundly grateful to everyone who showed up and supported us. It reminded me that success isn’t just about business milestones, but about the relationships and impact we create along the way.”

Founded in 2015, Black Nova Designs provides IT support, website design, and hosting services to clients across the UK and overseas.
