One of Calne’s most-loved cafés has done it again -The Farmhouse Café in Phelps Parade has been recognised with an award for 2025, marking ten years in a row that the café has earned this accolade.

The recognition comes from Restaurant Guru, who monitor customer reviews across all major platforms, making it a true reflection of the café’s loyal following. For owner Robert Merrick, the award is “a real honour because it comes from our customers they are our lifeblood.”

“Customer service and food quality mean everything to us,” he added. “We have an amazing team that delivers both, and it’s a big well done to Sam and the whole Farmhouse crew for making this possible.”

The café has enjoyed a busy start to the year, following a major refurbishment that reopened in January. The work has created a fresh, welcoming space with increased seating, improved layout, and new touches such as side tables with USB charging points , ideal for customers catching up over breakfast, lunch, or a slice of homemade cake.

Regulars will notice that the café’s dedication to locally sourced ingredients, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere remains at the heart of its success.

“The award really means a lot,” Mr Merrick said. “It’s given to us by our customers, and without them, we wouldn’t be here. It’s fantastic to be recognised once again.”

The Farmhouse Café is now open seven days a week, from 8.30am to 4pm Monday to Saturday, and from 10am to 2pm on Sundays.
