One of Calne’s favourite cafés is back in the spotlight after The Farmhouse, in Phelps Parade, was nominated for the Wiltshire Retail Business Awards 2025.
Already well known to most people in town, The Farmhouse is a much-loved spot for everything from hearty breakfasts and light lunches to a slice of homemade cake with a coffee. The café prides itself on using locally sourced ingredients, and its welcoming atmosphere, friendly team and relaxed seating - inside or outdoors - make it a regular meeting place for locals and visitors alike.
Now, the café has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Café’ category for the second year running.
Owner Robert Merrick said: “We are delighted to be nominated again for this award and thank all our customers for their loyalty and support. I would also like to personally thank Sam and her team for the hard work and dedication they show to The Farmhouse and our customers.”
The Farmhouse first received a nomination in 2024 and has continued to go from strength to strength thanks to its loyal regulars and word-of-mouth reputation.
