A new Valentine’s-themed creative night is hoping to tempt couples and friends out for something a little different this February, as Calne Town Hall hosts Love at First Sip & Paint Pottery.
Taking place on Wednesday, 11th February, the evening promises a relaxed mix of pottery painting, fizz and fun, with organisers encouraging guests to come exactly as they are even in their pyjamas!
Doors open at 7pm, with attendees given a pottery piece to decorate using either acrylic paints or a glaze finish, depending on the ticket chosen. Each ticket also includes a complimentary glass of Prosecco, with non-alcoholic alternatives available and the bar open throughout the evening.
The event is aimed at anyone looking for an alternative Valentine’s celebration, from couples planning a quirky date night to friends marking Galentine’s Day together. Group discounts are available for parties of five or more, with organisers hoping that will encourage people to make a night of it.
Prices start at £18 for acrylic paint only, rising to £25 for a glazed and kiln-fired finish, allowing guests to take home a more polished keepsake. Bottles of Prosecco and wine will also be available at a discounted rate on the night.
The event is being run in partnership with Best of You Pottery and Calne Town Council, who say they are keen to expand the range of creative and social events offered at the town hall.
With just under 30 tickets remaining, organisers are encouraging residents to book soon if they want to secure a place.
