There will be the opportunity to get a head start on your Christmas shopping this weekend with a craft fair at the Calne Springs showroom on Sunday 12th November.

Carole Lavery has been trying to get the craft fair established for local crafters for a while now, but the September date was poorly attended.

The hope is that this Sunday's fair will be better supported by those looking to get a head start on their Christmas shopping. Carole is hoping that with the right support, she will be able to hold a monthly craft fair at the showroom which is based at Tesco Superstore.

Amongst the tables on show this weekend, you will find fabulous wooden gifts by a retired woodturner, original watercolours from an artist who specialises in painting old buildings, fairies and frumps, genuine crystal jewellery, candles and wax and oil burners and a cupcake maker!

Carole said: "September's fair was very poor, shoppers said they didn't see any signs, but there were balloons on the bollards, and two people greeting shoppers at the entrance.

"We hope the community come and support us. I would love to get the craft fair up and running and continue on a monthly basis from Easter next year."

The fair is open from 10am to 3pm and promises to be well worth a look - pop in and enjoy a mince pie whilst you browse.
