CHILDREN at St Peter's C of E Academy in Chippenham welcomed a member of the Wilts & Berks Canal Trust recently to learn about the differences between a canal and a river.
Pewsham Branch Chairman, Dave Maloney popped in to visit KS2 pupils at the school to chat about the canal.
Dave said he was 'lucky and nervous enough to be able to give a 45 minute lesson on the differences between a canal and a river'.
He commented: "Who would have known from a curriculum point of view this also includes physical and human geography, the environment, commerce, finance and engineering - Good job I researched!”
Dave added ”The pupils were very attentive and asked some interesting questions. I hope we both learned from the experience. I certainly did!”
