THE Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for later today, Monday 7th October.

The forecaster said: “Some places missing the worst, but heavy showers and thunderstorms may cause some disruption, particularly to travel, later on Monday."

The disruptions are expected to take place between 4pm until midnight today.

The long range forecast - Tomorrow will be unsettled with a mix of a few brighter spells, variable amounts of cloud and scattered showers. These will be slow-moving, heavy at times and with a risk of thunder.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday

Wednesday morning will be cloudy with isolated showers. A few sunny spells will develop in the afternoon but still with a risk of the odd lingering shower. Thursday will see cloud and scattered showers in the morning but it will turn sunnier in the afternoon. However, trending colder and windier. Friday will be chilly and dry with sunny spells and patchy cloud through the day.
