Police have confirmed that the woman who was airlifted to hospital on Monday 26th February, has died.

Emergency services were called to the scene of a RTC on the A3102 just after 2.45pm on Monday where a Vauxhall Zafira, Dacia Sandero and a Nissan Juke had been involved in a collision.

Police closed the road between Calne and Sandy Lane to allow emergency services to work at the scene and then for collision investigators to carry out their investigations. The road reopened at approximately 1am the following morning.

The driver of the Dacia, a woman in her 60s from Melksham, was airlifted to Southmead Hospital with life threatening injuries. Sadly, she passed away at the hospital yesterday morning.

A child who was a passenger in the Vauxhall was taken to the Royal United Hospital with minor injuries.

Police are appealing to witnesses to the collision, or anyone who may have dash cam footage, to call the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 01225 694597 and quote log number 173 of February 26.
