A woman has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving following an RTC on London Road last night, 17th January.
The collision happened at about 6.40pm when a female driving a Mini collided with a parked vehicle.
Eyewitnesses say another driver, not involved with the collision, ensured the safety of all concerned and directed the traffic around the scene until the police arrived.
Police arrested the woman driver on suspicion of drink driving.
A police spokesperson told us: “We have arrested a woman following an RTC in London Road, Calne, yesterday evening (17/01).
“At around 6.40pm yesterday we responded to an RTC between a vehicle and a parked car in London Road.
“There were no reported injuries.
“A woman in her 70s was arrested on suspicion of drink driving. She has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.”
