THERE was high excitement last week when eagle-eyed residents in Calne, spotted job vacancy posts for a new store.
The Original Factory Shop are currently recruiting staff for a new store, said to be opening in Calne soon.
Established in 1969, The Original Factory Shop is a discount department store which 'brings big brands at bargain prices to Britain’s local high streets' across multiple departments including fashion, beauty and home.
With more than 200 operating stores across the UK, the closest branches to Calne are currently located in Melksham and Corsham.
Although The Original Factory Shop were unable to confirm the official opening date or location yet, the former M&Co store seems to be the most likely location as the store has recently confirmed 16 new stores across the UK all opening in former M&Co units.
A spokesperson told us: "We’re very excited about a new store opening in the local area." They added more information would be provided “as soon as” it was available.
