The annual Calne Summer Carnival takes place tomorrow, 29th June and there is so much to see and do - here's what to expect.

Festivities kick off tomorrow from 1pm in the town centre where Calne's own radio station, Eartunes Radio will be supplying the soundtrack to the event on the main stage at the side of the Town Hall.

The theme for this year's event is 'Influential People Throughout History' inspired by the 250th anniversary of Joseph Priestley's discovery of oxygen while living in Calne.

Community and craft stalls and pitches will be lining the High Street and down to The Wharf,  with food stalls located along Bank Row and Calne Springs Market in Phelps Parade.

Tomorrow is also Armed Forces Day so why not take on the challenge of the REME Assault Course which will be on the Wharf from 1pm to 5pm.

'Joseph Priestly' himself  will be in the Town Hall for free to see Science Shows  at 1pm and 2.15pm.

The Corn Exchange in the Town Hall will be the place to go if you fancy getting your bounce on - for just £2 you can bounce about for five minutes in the Bouncing Adventurers inflatable takeover.

While you are at the Town Hall, look out for a stall outside where you can view some of the council's ideas for the future development of Calne's play areas where you can give your feedback and thoughts on what you'd like to see there.

The papier mache pigs will be landing in Calne tomorrow, pick up your pig for just £15, ready to decorate how ever you wish for the Calne Pig Parade . You can find the pigs at the CMAF stall at the Wharf - they will also be available to buy from the Heritage Centre and Bank House from next week.
