Travellers have spent the night on the sports field at Kingsbury Green Academy in Calne and remain at the site this morning.
Eight caravans and assorted vehicles have pitched up on the field having broken down the gates to gainaccess to the field yesterday evening.
Eyewitnesses have said that the travellers have made themselves at home on the field, there are even inflated paddling pools up by the caravans.
This morning two of the travellers have been seen driving a car slowly around the field in laps behind the homes which back onto the field.
Calne Police attended the site last night and posted on social media: "We are aware that several vehicles have parked on the sports fields of the Kingsbury Green Academy after access was gained to their grounds. We are currently liaising with all parties involved."
A police presence remains there today, with regular visits being conducted by patrols.
The summer holiday camp FUEL which is being run throughout summer school holidays at Kingsbury Green Academy has had to restrict numbers as a result of the trespass.
