Residents can look forward to a vibrant summer as the Town Council Grounds Team begins planting the annual summer bedding displays this week.

The much-anticipated floral scheme, a local favourite, promises to be a spectacle of colour, texture, and life throughout the town.

This year's selection showcases a stunning array of plants, including the golden Begonia Starshine Yellow and the cheerful Petunia Easy Wave Yellow, harmoniously paired with the delicate Calibrachoa Cabaret Early-Blue and Can-Can Double-Lemon.

For a touch of the exotic, residents can expect to see the Fuchsia Cecile and Canna Cannova Yellow adding a tropical flair. The dramatic heights of Salvia Fairy Queen, Victoria Blue, and Mystic Spires Blue will provide striking vertical interest, while trailing varieties like Ipomoea Solar Power Lime Heart and Lysimachia Nummularia Goldilocks will cascade from containers. Accents of Osteospermum Sirocco White, Verbena Voodoo Lavender Star, and the airy Verbena Bonariensis Buenos Aires will complete the showstopping display.

The Town Council is committed to sustainability, ensuring that all plants are grown in 100% peat-free compost and nurtured with all-natural fertilisers, promoting both plant health and environmental responsibility. Furthermore, several of the selected plants are recognized by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) as "Plants for Pollinators," actively supporting vital insect populations like bees and butterflies. These include: * Salvia Fairy Queen * Salvia Victoria Blue * Salvia Mystic Spires Blue * Verbena Voodoo Lavender Star * Verbena Bonariensis Buenos Aires * Osteospermum Sirocco White.

Get ready for a summer bursting with bloom!
