RESIDENTS will have the opportunity to find out more about the work of Wiltshire Council and ask the leader of the council your questions at an event taking place in Calne later this month.

Wiltshire Council is continuing its series of community events across the county with a date scheduled for Calne Library on 26th October from 6pm to 7.30pm.

People are encouraged to ask any questions about the council, its objectives and priorities, and the challenges ahead. The events are an opportunity to put questions directly to the Leader of the Council, Cllr Richard Clewer, and hear his thoughts and plans for the future.

Previous events have taken place in Chippenham, Devizes, Westbury, Trowbridge, Salisbury and Alderbury in the Southern Wiltshire community area.

Cllr Richard Clewer, Leader of Wiltshire Council, said: "Thank you to everyone who came along to the Ask the Leader event in Southern Wiltshire, there were some really good discussions. It's been valuable to meet people face to face up and down the county to hear more about key local issues and discuss possible solutions together.

"The next event takes place in Calne on 26 October and I would encourage residents to come along and ask me any questions and find out more about the work we are doing.

"These events are a great way to ensure our priorities reflect those of our local communities. If people can't make the event but would still like to ask a question, they can submit it in advance to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it."
