A search is underway to find a 53-year-old woman who has been missing from the Calne area since Friday lunchtime.
Gail was last seen on Friday 5th December and has not made contact with family or friends since, prompting growing concern for her welfare. Wiltshire Police issued an initial public appeal on Saturday, followed by further details on Sunday afternoon as the search effort continues.
Officers have released an updated description of what Gail was last seen wearing. She is believed to have been dressed in a pale grey fleece-style hoodie and dark (possibly blue) leggings. She is around 5ft 8ins tall, of medium build, and has short dyed blonde hair with darker roots.
Police say on Saturday that Gail may have travelled to the Amesbury or Stonehenge area in a silver Vauxhall, registration DL10 WFV.
A police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for your help to locate a woman who has been reported missing from the Calne area. If you have seen Gail or her car, please contact us on 999 quoting log number 268 of yesterday's date (December 5).”
Anyone with information is urged to get in touch immediately.
