Police have released an appeal for help with their investigation into an arson attack at a property in Calne.

Calne Fire Crew were called to reports of a fire in a bin storarge building in Kingsfisher Court, Calne on the 24th November just before 5.30pm.

It is believed the fire was started deliberately and police have since conducted house to house enquiries. This incident has not been ruled out as being connected to an earlier act of vandalism where white paint was thrown onto the ground in a communal entrance to Kingfisher Court.

"Fire officers advised us they believed persons have deliberately set this fire which has then ingulfed this small structure.

"Thankfully the fire did not spread to nearby vehicles or residential properties. The damaged caused to the building has been valued in excess of £5,000.
