HILLS Homes has submitted a Reserved Matters Application for the development of 17 new homes.
The proposed site for the development is on land off James Avenue in Regent's Park, Calne.
The application sets out details of the intended homes - three two-bed and two three-bed affordable homes and a further twelve units of two, three and four bed homes.
In the Design and Access statement of the planning application Hills Homes state: "The overall vision for the site is to provide a high quality and distinctive development, which complements as is in-keeping with the surrounding new development of Regents Park.
"There will be a range of housing to meet the needs of the area, whilst respecting and enhancing the site's environmental assets. The housing will be integrated within the landscape and will create a distinctive sense of place.
"The key objectives of this proposal are to: Deliver a high quality 'place' which is sustainable, safe and attractive within the street scene. Provide a mix of housing styles and tenure to suit local requirements. Create vehicular access into the development which utilises the existing highway network and maintains Highways safety. Provide engaging street frontages through a considered landscaping scheme and material choices. Retain and protect established boundary treatments."
