NOMINATIONS are now open for the Calne Town Council Civic Awards 2024.
The annual Calne Civic Awards are a celebration of people who have made an outstanding contribution to Calne; they can be a neighbour, community group or even a local business.
The following three awards are given each year:
Calne Civic Award - recognising the actions of an individual or group for their hard work and endeavours for the Calne community.
Young Citizen Civic Award - recognising the actions of a young person or group of young people that have had a positive impact on the town or its community. The award is open to all young people living in Calne aged 11 to 17.
Arts and Sports Civic Award - a grant of up to £250 to enable a young person who has demonstrated outstanding ability in sports or the arts to develop their skills. The award is open to all young people living in Calne aged 11 to 18.
If you know of a local person or business who has gone above and beyond for the local community in the last year, for whatever reason, you can submit your nomination either by completing this form: Nomination Form or you can collect a paper copy from Bank House, The Strand.
