POLICE have sadly confirmed that the motorcyclist involved in a serious RTC on the A342 at Derry Hill has died.

The man in his 60s was involved in a collision between a motorcycle and a Mercedes car at about 1.30pm yesterday (03/03).

He was airlifted by Wiltshire Air Ambulance to Southmead Hospital but despite the best efforts of medical staff he sadly died of his injuries.

Police say his next of kin have been informed and their 'thoughts are with them at this incredibly difficult time'.

Any witnesses to the collision, or anyone who may have dash cam footage, should call the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 01225 694597 and quote log number 144 of March 3.
