CALNE based charity HVDV - Helping Victims of Domestic Violence are looking for donations to their annual Christmas Box Appeal.
HVDV provide practical support to families, individuals, young people and children who have experienced domestic violence.
They aim to reduce the stress and suffering associated with fleeing an abusive situation, and support them to take back control of their lives and sustain their indepedence.
The annual Christmas appeal aims to provide a gift for those staying in a Wiltshire Refuge over the festive period, to make the holidays a little easier.
A small shoebox or Christmas gift bag containing essential items can make such a difference.
This time of year can be hard for anyone, however if you can spare a few pounds, then consider creating a Christmas gift box or bag for HVDV.
The chairty need boxes for all age groups. Items such as: dolls, cars, teddies, skipping ropes, games, puzzles, toiletries and cosmetics, candles, arts and craft items.
You can drop off your Christmas Box or Bag at The New Beginnings Charity Shop, 22 The High Street Calne, or The Eartunes Radio Studios on Porte Marsh on or before the 23rd December 2023.
