HEART of the Community has celebrated another successful Christmas lunch event for the more vulnerable members of Calne who visit them at Coleman's Farm.

As ever, the popular Christmas lunch was packed with guests, all enjoying some festive cheer and company at a time of year that can prove even more isolating for some.

Guests were welcomed with some mulled wine and there was also a raffle with some fantastic prizes - there was even a visit from Santa with gifts for those attending.

Mary Wakeham, Founding Trustee kept busy front of house, ensuring that all the guests were happy, while other team members and fellow trustee Ian Wakeham were busy cooking the feast.  The meat was donated by Tesco and Sainsbury's and there was a cheesecake for dessert donated by the local independent business - S&S Bakery.

Mary said: "Our annual Christmas Lunch for our guests took place on Friday. While we missed Calne Singers, we were excited when Santa dropped in to distribute some presents early.

"Our thanks to Calne Lions, Sainsburys and Tesco in Calne for their donations of food, and of course our volunteers for giving their time so freely to support and feed our guests.

"We are now closed until January 6th, but if you would like to join our friendly team, either as a guest or volunteer, please drop us a line.!"
