Election called for vacant seat on Calne Town Council

AN election has been called to fill a vacant spot on Calne Town Council.

The vacancy for the Chilvester & Abberd Ward has arisen following the resignation of Cllr Jackie Bennett.

Cllr Beckett was elected as a Calne Town Councillor in February, however, earlier this month she took the decision to step down.

The election will take place on Thursday 20th November 2025 if contested.

Residents have until Friday, 24th October to submit a nomination form.

The Electoral Services Team is responsible for maintaining the Register of Electors and running elections, ensuring that they are carried out in accordance with the law.
