An independent Wiltshire veterinary practice opened the doors to their brand new clinic in Calne yesterday, 30/9.

Selina Walters and her business partner Philly established the first Chalkland Vet practice in Chippenham 2019 and have seen the business grow from strength to strength, opening branches in Corsham and Melksham and now Calne.
Selina told us: "We wanted to open a clinic in Calne as it is a rapidly growing market town. We already have a client base that comes from Calne and the surrounding area and wanted to provide a one stop clinic in this location to avoid the need for patient travel."

The Calne clinic is the largest of the four, with 5 consulting rooms, 2 surgical theatres, imagining room and a dental suite. The facility also boasts three separate patient wards, and a large open plan reception with different areas for dogs and cats.

Selina continued: "It took us 2 years to find a suitable location in Calne, and the clinic renovation project has taken 6 months, so it's been a long time in the making and we are delighted to finally be open our doors.

"We have a fantastic, bonded team, and now offer an in house opthalmology, orthopaedic and exotic service."

Selina and Philly work in the practice daily, and on the ground. They are proactive and forward thinking and are constantly reviewing and improving their service, providing gold standard client and patient care.

The new branch opened in Building B Lower Beversbrook Industrial Estate Redman Road yesterday morning where their first patient was Alfie and his mum - Alfie was visiting for his 'little operation' .
