EMERGENCY services are currently at the scene of a vehicle fire in Church Road, Derry Hill.
Firefighters responded to a report of a parked car on fire outside the school in Derry Hill just after 1.30pm.
A spokesperson for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service told Calne News: “We were called to Church Road, Derry Hill at 1.32pm today for a car well alight on the road. A crew from Chippenham is using a breathing apparatus wearer and two hose reel jets to tackle the fire, which has destroyed the car and also spread to the nearby hedgerow.”
The incident is ongoing and no further details are available at this stage. Residents may notice smoke in the area, and drivers are advised to avoid Church Road while emergency services remain at the scene.
