A CALNE man appeared in court on Monday 4th August, charged with possessing a knife in a public place.
Police responded to reports of a man at The Rec in possession of a suspected kitchen knife on Sunday evening.
A police spokesperson told us: "We attended a report of a male with a knife at Calne Recreation Ground at 7pm on Sunday (03/08).
"Paul Radley, 52, of The Pippin, was charged with possessing a knife in a public place and appeared at Swindon Magistrates' Court on Monday (04/08)."
At the hearing, Radley pleaded not guilty to the charges and will now face trial on the 2nd July 2026.
