Staff from Calne Community Campus presented a cheque for £1,500 to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance this week following the resounding success of their annual Santa Scamper event held in December.

The festive fundraiser saw over 380 participants, dressed as Santa Claus, take to the streets of Calne to complete a 4km route around the town centre.

The event proved to be a massive hit with the local community, generating a significant donation for the life-saving air ambulance service.

During their visit to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance base in Semington, the Calne Community Campus staff were given a tour of the facilities and learned firsthand about the crucial work the charity carries out across Wiltshire. They were able to gain a deeper understanding of the vital role the air ambulance plays in providing rapid medical assistance to individuals in critical need.

The Calne Community Campus extended their gratitude to all the "Santas" who participated in the event, as well as to the staff members who dedicated their time and effort to organising the successful fundraiser. Their collective efforts have made a significant contribution to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance, enabling them to continue their life-saving work in the community.
