The Calne Area Board has presented Diane Gooch, Calne’s Older People and Carers Champion, with a bouquet of flowers in recognition of her exceptional contributions to the community.

Diane has dedicated herself to improving the lives of our older residents.

Her work includes chairing meetings, supporting volunteer groups, creating dementia-friendly spaces, and organising numerous events for older and vulnerable residents.

Her efforts have ensured that the voices of older residents are consistently heard and valued within the Area Board's initiatives.

Rebecca Seymour of Celebrating Age Wiltshire said: “Diane has been amazing to work with over the past 8 years, supporting our project and helping organise so many joyful events for older people in Calne. She is wonderful.”

Cllr Sam Pearce-Kearney, Chairman of the Calne Area Board, echoed this sentiment adding: “Diane brings together a fantastic team of volunteers who go above and beyond to support the Calne community. The Area Board was pleased to recognise Diane’s achievements and long service and say a big thank you to all our volunteers,”
