DID you or someone you know leave Fynamore School in 1974? If so, you might want to clear your diary for this coming Saturday, 9th November.
In 1974, Mr Springate was the Head Teacher of Fynamore School and the class of '74 was the first year students were required to stay in education until the age of 16, previously the leaving age had been 15.
One former student, Steph McGarry, has organised a reunion celebration reunion this weekend, marking 50 years since they all left school.
This isn't the first reunion, in 2019, 40 ex-students signed into a 'school register' for a great night of sharing memories and catching up on each other's news. Steph said: "I said I would do another reunion when we all reached retirement age of 66.
