TO mark the 80th Anniversary of VE and VJ Day this year, Calne Brianch of Royal British Legion working alongside Calne Town Council have said they'd like to recreate the 'River of Poppies' previously displayed along Beach Terrace.
Many of us will remember the incredible 'River of Poppies' created by schools, groups and residents of the town in 2018 to pay respect to the 100th anniversary of the First World War.
Now, a call has gone out to anyone who would like to help make it happen again for this special anniversary. A spokesperson for Calne Branch RBL said: "To make this happen, we are going to need the help of our great town.
"Any help, no matter how small, will make all the difference."
