WYATTS Lake Farm in Bromham has been ordered to stop importing and dumping waste on its land after Wiltshire Council issued an enforcement notice.
The notice, served on 18th February, also bans unauthorised residential caravans on the site. The farm has until 25th March ot comply, with the land to be cleared over 18 months.
Councillor Nick Botterill said the council had "no choice" but to serve the notice.
He added: "We are committed to tackling planning breaches such as this in Wiltshire and we will use all available legal powers to enforce planning regulations wherever they may occur.
"However, the owner and occupiers have chosen not to comply and so we have had no choice but to serve this Enforcement Notice to ensure that the owner meets their legal obligations. An Enforcement Notice is always a last resort, but in this case it is necessary to prevent this unauthorised land use.
"We will continue to work with all people involved in this matter to ensure compliance with this enforcement notice."
