POLICE have closed the A4 in both directions following a road traffic collision at about 2pm today, 12th November.
Eye-witnesses say the RTC is believed to have involved a motorcyclist who has crashed into the rear of a car.
Emergency services are at the scene.
Wiltshire Police posted on social media: "A4 at Black Dog Hill between Calne and Derry Hill is currently closed in both directionsdue to a road traffic collision."
Stagecoach West Bus services are impacted - they posted: 'The road between Calne and Chippenham is closed due to police activity. Buses will need to divert using the A310 and A342 in both directions. Delays expected until road re-opens.
